Course Description

The Tav is opening up it’s bar to any wannabe bartenders out there! Our experienced managers will show you how to serve popular drinks, pour a beer and make cocktails all while maintaining responsible service of alcohol. You will also have the opportunity to work a shift in the famous Tav bar as work experience!
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the course. Only open to participants 18 years and older by the date of the course.

Remember to catch the bus if you intend on trying all of the drinks you make!

What you get from the Course

A theory component about Liquor licensing laws and  general info about working in a bar

A practical component which involves changing a keg, pouring a beer, making lemon-lime-bitters, tasting wine, making cocktails and shots.

2 hours’ work experience behind the Tav’s bar to practice what you’ve learnt

A certificate of completion for successful participants

Course Location

The course runs on the Bentley campus at the Curtin Tav (Building 106C).
