Studying in Perth can be a life-changing experience. Exploring Australia’s food, culture and mindset can be exciting, but may take some getting used to. “Managing Homesickness” is a space for meeting other International students and sharing tips on surviving study as an overseas student.

Cooking 101 - Food Sensations FREE

Course Description

Food Sensations for Adults is a free 4-week hands-on nutrition and cooking program.

 

Over 4 weeks you will learn to cook some easy,tasty recipes and learn simple, budget-friendly ways to eat healthy.  You will learn to cook a range of recipes such as nacho stacks, butter-less chicken, spaghetti and meatballs, salads and desserts!

 

Food Sensations is run by friendly Foodbank WA nutritionists and dietitians and covers the following nutrition topics: healthy eating, meal planning and budgeting, label reading and food safety to make healthy eating delicious and fun


 

Class Location

The course runs on the Bentley campus. The location will be provided to you upon enrolment.

Bartending 101

***IMPORTANT NOTICE ***

Please note: this is temporary while we finish working on our fancy new website

 

Course Description

The Tav is opening up its bar to any wannabe bartenders out there! Our experienced managers will show you how to serve popular drinks, pour a beer and make cocktails all while maintaining responsible service of alcohol. You will also have the opportunity to work a shift in the famous Tav bar as work experience!
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of the course. Only open to participants 18 years and older by the date of the course.


Remember to catch the bus if you intend on trying all of the drinks you make!

Course Cost

ONLY $45 for current Curtin students (Guild Members)

$50 for everyone else
